All-American
There once was a girl, who lived with her mother.
She had no dad, but an older brother.
On September eleventh she cried all day,
But her family and friends were all okay.
That tragic day she cried and cried,
Even though she lived on the far west side.
You see, her only lifelong dream
was to approach the twin towers and see how they gleam,
to see them in their fame and glory,
a permanent chapter in her life story.
The glorious towers she will never see,
for the buildings are now a heap of debris.
She is not selfish to cry at that sight,
for many of us did not sleep that night.
